When tight tolerances and fast turnaround are a concern, Abrasive Waterjets precision waterjet cutting services can help to meet your needs. Our cost- and quality-conscious customers often shop around and compare us with other shops, and decide that we are the right place to consistently meet the close tolerances, to ±.003, and intricate features that they demand. Waterjet cutting can save 40 60% in time compared to conventional CNC machining, saving those man-hours for more complex processes. Our new OMAX precision waterjet cutting machine is ready and able to meet any production need, prototype to long run. The OMAX waterjet cutting machine can cut material varying from 0.003 to 10 thick, with a work envelope of 165 x 80 and a maximum material load of 250 lbs./sq. ft. In maintaining lead times as short as 1 day, we make use of the machines dual 40 hp pumps and 180 in./min. cutting speed for maximum productivity. Advantages of waterjet cutting include minimum part stress, no thermal distortion or hardening, reduction or elimination of secondary operations, taper eliminating cutting heads, and smooth finished edges, with a maximum edge quality of 5. We can also adjust kerf relative to precision and speed required, with a minijet for more intricate features, and larger kerfs for faster production. Producing end products like metal gaskets, rubber gaskets, tank components, architectural ornaments, blanking, flanges, and others, we work with a range of materials, from hardened steel, Inconel, and titanium to foam, acrylic, composites, and rubber. We can also cut materials like ceramic, mirrors, leather, stone, porcelain and wood. Our process meets ANSI, ASME, and ASTM standards. "5" is an excellent appearance with no striations and is the most accurate. "1" is a poor appearance, high in striations and is rarely used, except for blanking. | | | Cutting Thickness | Min .003 in .076mm | Max 10in 254 mm |
